I’m starting a..
Start Your Day Green ⚡️Revolution .
Anyone ready to make green juice your start to your day?
Green•Juice•Challenge⚡️ who’s in? Everyone need more greens in their diet, good organic alkalizing greens. So I’m starting a GREEN JUICE challenge and in the end we all win and it’s the only challenge that never ends because you will learn and love to make it part of your lifestyle. Every-single day.
Hope all of you are at least making an effort to try. What’s the reason why you should start green? -it alkalizes your body. disease cannot live in an alkaline state, only acidic. so if you’re eating breads, meat and drinking coffee first thing your body becomes more acidic
-it helps your body detoxify- from when you get up till about 11am your body is in detox mode. putting an alkaline green drink facilitates your digestive track to remove toxins.
-greens will be absorbed by your gut without any foods and build your immune system.
-you have more energy, alertness and can move and function better.
No negatives, only positives. Let’s do this!!
Starting today (August 21, 2017), FIRST THING in the morning, drink just one glass of any green juice- fresh juiced that you juice from organic vegetables, already purchased cold pressed organic juice like Suja or many other companies that offer cold pressed juices like Juice from the Raw or many other green juice brands out there. If you don’t have much time in the morning to make your own green juice or even smoothie, I recommend this organic powdered greens from Amazing Grass or Dr. Mercolas Greens, those are two I love and use. If you have some time you can even make a green smoothie with little fruit as possible. Always drink any green juice or smoothie on an empty stomach. Make sure it’s the first thing you have besides water. So who’s in? Once you make it part of your day preferably the very first thing in the morning, you’ll stick with it for life! Let’s do this! Follow me on IG here @greenandfitmama and tag me by hash tagging: #startyourdaygreen on your photos and IG stories. If you don’t have a juicer get a good green food powder or make smoothies. Let’s go green together⚡️️

Love & Green Juice:
Hey! Sorry for the lack of blog posts. I started an aromatherapy jewelry line called Drop of Love. Majority of my pieces are made from lava bead that absorb essential oils in them for you to enjoy the smell and aroma from the oils while wearing your jewelry.
I used to have a handstamped jewerly business for 6 years that did really well. I decided to stop that and start this one because it combines creativity and health and wellness at the same time. I love essential oils and aromatherapy is very powerful.
I have been focusing on that but am continuing to post food, supplements, fitness and everything health on my IG page: @greenandfitmama and will still continue to write blog posts here. If you aren’t following me on IG, please do so, I am very consistent with that page.
Please check out my line here: http://www.dropoflove.us
I bought my husband a SHABU Pot for Christmas last year and it’s great! It’s such a great way to have a huge pot of healthy veggies and meats for the whole family to enjoy at once. It’s great for everyone in the family to get involved by cooking the foods. It heats up really hot and fast. We made our own broth with only lemongrass, ginger and water, super tasty! Any SHABU restaurant that you go to will most likely have msg in their broths. Eateries have every right to tell you if they use msg or not so ask! Msg is a neurotoxin which is a chemical that affects your brain and can cause allergies, difficulty breathing (my son had this), even anaphylactic shock so stay away from msg at all costs. Msg has 100’s of other names that it is disguised by so unless you make it yourself you should avoid broths and sauces no matter what. Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai all use msg. Sad but true.
I bought this Shabu Shabu Pot here.
Say no to MSG and always ask when you are at a restaraunt
SUPERFOODS BITES⚡️ I made date balls this morning filled with yummy superfoods, no sugar added, only what naturally comes from dates. You can make millions of versions of superfoods bites with whatever you prefer. I used what I had on hand and you can use what you have also. Dates are great because they act as a binder, are already sweet but you can also add natural sugars like honey, maple or coconut nectar. Nut or seed butters like almond butter, sunbutter, tahini or pumpkin seed butters are great to add thickness, binding and nutrients too. Play around with mixtures and see what you like the best or what your kids will eat! I sometimes will add melted dark chocolate on the outside to cover the balls with. It’s funny how my kids will not eat this alone but dip them in chocolate and it’s a whole other world! If you use a great organic dark chocolate with low sugar, it also is an added superfood because organic dark chocolate with a high cacao content is great in antioxidants and you and your family will love it!
Here’s the ingredients that I used this morning, I did not measure, just went for a dough forming texture. I know that I used 8 oz. of dates and soaked them in lukewarm water first for about 5 minutes to soften. Add dates to a food processor and process till its doughy, add in your nut or seed butter and process the two together. Remove this mixture and put in a larger bowl, add in your pumpkin seeds, hemp seeds, chia seeds, maca powder, cinnamon and mix. Form balls and pop on the fridge to harden. Keep them stored in a lid container in the fridge until you are ready to eat! Best enjoyed with a cup of organic coffee 🙂

Who uses those typical Banana Boat spray sunscreens? Please protect yourself and children by not using chemical sunscreens.
The most common sunscreens on the market contain chemical filters. These products typically include a combination of two to six of these active ingredients:
- Para amino benzoic acid
- Octyl salicyclate
- Menthyl anthranilate
These chemicals will go on your skin and straight to your bloodstream to cause problems in your body.
There are many safe sunscreens that contain only two or one of the two safe ingredients that actually sit on your skin and protect harmful rays. These ingredients are zinc oxide and/or titanium dioxide.
Some dangers of chemical sunscreens are:
- hormone disruption
- some release skin damaging effects in the sun
- skin irritation
- allergic reactions
Please See below for a list of SAFE sunscreens for children:
- Badger for Kids
- Badger for Babies
- Think Sport For Kids
- Think Sport For Babies
- California Baby
- Blue Lizard
- Goddess Garden
- Kiss My Face Babies
- Burnout Kids
Safe sunscreens for adults/ok for children too:
- Think Sport
- Goddess Garden
- All Good
Please take the time to see what you are putting on your skin and your children’s skin, especially while in the sun! Be safe, wear safe sunscreen.
So I baked a chocolate cake for Father’s Day. I got the recipe from and friend but tweaked it up a little! I’m all about indulging in healthy sweets with a less sugar as possible. The cake was both gluten and dairy free. Since the cake calls for coconut flour its more on the dry side, but there are other ingredients you can add to make it more moist.
Here’s my recipe:
(see links for where to purchase them)
2 tbsp baking soda
1/4 – 1/2 cup coconut flour or 1/4 cup maple or coconut nectar
1/2 cup dark chocolate chunks
mix all the dry ingredients together them fold in the oil, eggs, vanilla and maple or nectar if you are using that in place of the coconut sugar. Add in chocolate chunks last after everything is mixed well.
Bake in a bundt pan on 350 for 30-35 minutes, check it at 20 minutes
top with coconut whipped cream or organic chocolate syrup, or both!!
